Aya is a floral designer and a fully qualified Ikebana instructor. Aya started flower design when she was working in finance in Tokyo. Inspired by visual arts and interior design, she soon realized that floral art was her passion. Aya later moved to London, where she became a professional flower designer and an Ikebana artist.
Over the past ten years, Aya has worked for high-end flower boutiques and luxury hotels such as Mandarin Oriental. She has studied with world leading floral artists and schools in London, Paris, and Japan, including Gregor Lersch and the Ikenobo Society of Floral Art in Kyoto.
Aya has achieved a unique floral style, which combines Japanese tradition and European influences. Her creations are distinctively elegant yet refreshingly modern, with a strong sense of colour and shape.
